Types of Cooks

I have heard it said that there are two types of cooks. Those who follow and execute a recipe exceptionally well and the those who focus on flavours, how they go together and cooking techniques.

The first type of cook is ideal for situations where you need to produce the same result over and over again. They get up to speed fast and ensure a high-quality product in the shortest possible period of time.

The second type of cook is the one you want around if you are expecting change. Their deep knowledge of ingredients and the process of cooking allow them to adapt and customize their creations to changing ingredient availabilities and customer tastes.
