Shouting Through the Noise

Whether it is communicating with your family or your customers, there are times when they just cannot hear you.

It could be that they are living an intense emotional moment, it could be that they are extremely tired, or it could be that they are simply preoccupied with something else. 

Whatever the reason, until the noise dies down, you are not going to have any success connecting with them and trying to force an issue will only be counterproductive.

It’s hard to have the self-control required to wait until someone is receptive to what you have to say, but you can bet that if you have the patience, this approach will be much more effective than trying to shout through the noise.
